Platform Fee Schedule

Important: ShopGiv does NOT process your customer payments. You handle all customer transactions as you normally do — cash, card, whatever works for your business. Platform fees are calculated as a percentage of each transaction reported to ShopGiv.

How It Works

When a ShopGiv app user shops at your business, you contribute a small donation (the percentage you set in your profile) to their chosen nonprofit. ShopGiv manages the donation tracking, nonprofit disbursement, and tax receipts. That's what these platform fees cover.

1. Launch Phase (Current)

During the launch phase, you pay nothing:

  • Platform Fee: Waived (normally 0.5% of each transaction)
  • Subscription Fee: Waived

The launch phase continues until ShopGiv reaches 1,000 app users. You'll receive at least 30 days' notice before any change.

2. Standard Pricing (After Launch Phase)

Platform Fee by Tier: Free tier vendors pay 0% platform fees. Pro and Enterprise tier vendors pay a small 0.5% fee during launch / 2% post-launch, calculated on each transaction.

Example (Free tier): If a customer spends $100 at your business and your donation rate is 5%, the donation is $5.00 — and you owe no platform fee at all.

Example (Pro/Enterprise tier): Same $100 purchase, 5% donation rate → $5.00 donation. Platform fee = $0.50 (0.5% of $100 during launch) or $2.00 (2% post-launch). You still keep $98+ of the customer's payment — ShopGiv never touches it.

Optional Subscription Tiers

  • Free — $0/mo: 0% platform fee — you only commit to your chosen donation percentage. Includes app listing, business dashboard, and donation tracking.
  • Pro — $99/mo: 0.5% platform fee (launch) / 2% (post-launch) on each transaction. Adds trust badges, customer insights, vendor messaging, and a branded marketing kit.
  • Enterprise — $249/mo: 0.5% platform fee (launch) / 2% (post-launch) on each transaction. Adds push notifications to nearby shoppers, featured placement, promoted in-app listings, and $50/mo ad credits.

4. Invoicing & Payment

  • What's invoiced: Platform fees on transactions + any subscription you choose (NOT customer payments — vendors handle their own payment processing)
  • Schedule: Quarterly, or monthly if balance exceeds $250
  • Payment Terms: Net 30
  • Auto-pay: Available via ACH or credit card
  • Billed By: AiN Collective (separate from donation invoices)

5. Grace Period

If you leave ShopGiv within 30 days, you owe zero platform fees — only any outstanding donation obligations.
